EHRTC RM2 applications

ELOTEK EHRTC RM2 is a hot runner temperature-controller family for plastic injection molds. Thermocouple feedback and PID control regulate independent heating zones. Check the zone count and technical data of each product separately.

Construction and power stage

RM2 uses removable rack modules with an integrated power stage. Complete controllers use fan cooling. Distinguish a replacement controller board from a complete unit.

Available zones and product selection

The current RM2 catalog offers 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 zones. Select the required zone count below to inspect technical information, price and connection options.

Match the control zones to the independent heating circuits of the mold. Connector pin assignments and thermocouple type must be checked separately.

Temperature-control functions

• PID control with Auto-Tune.
• Selectable J/K thermocouple input.
• Control range up to 537 °C; follow the technical limits of the selected product.
• Stand-By and manual/proportional operation.
• Adjustable setpoint limits and temperature offset.

Replacement boards and mold connections

Check the controller series, board revision and wiring before selecting an EHRTC RM2 replacement board. A spare circuit board is not a complete hot runner control unit.

For a mold cable, check zone count, connector type, pin assignment and thermocouple polarity together. Ask technical support before changing to a different controller series.
